This year's, 13th in a row, CROSS OVER International Basketball Camp "Kragujevac 2023" has ended in a sign of basketball victory, camaraderie and friendship.
Players from 13 countries of the world (Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Czech Republic, Greece, Montenegro, Turkey and for the first time China and Lebanon) went home full of beautiful impressions and richer for new skills and friendships. Once again, it was shown that the strength of our camp, apart from excellent training, is multi-ethnicity and a fantastic atmosphere.
CROSS OVER International Basketball Camp "Kragujevac 2023" this year had three shifts of nine days each. Training sessions were held in the hall and on open fields twice a day, and competitions in dexterity, shooting, 1v1, 2v2 were also organized. This year's work was also based on the
Program compiled by prof. Dr. Nenad Trunić (FIBA instructor), and experienced coaches, who have appropriate KSS licenses, tried to pass on something from their vast experience to young basketball players. All trainings are conducted in English, which is another quality of our Camp.
Additional individual trainings in small groups (from 1 to 3 players) were organized for all participants of the Camp, where the coaches could correct all the deficiencies that they could not correct in the framework of collective trainings.
All the time the camp was open, the medical service was at the guests' service.
In addition to serious work, we tried our best to ensure that our guests have a good time in their free time. We organized visits to the aqua park and swimming pools in Jagodina, as well as parties within the Camp itself.
Hotel "Šumarice" also made an effort to raise the level of the CROSS OVER International Basketball Camp "Kragujevac 2023" a notch higher with quality service and training grounds. The diet was adapted to the hard training, age and religious beliefs of our guests.
As part of the CROSS OVER International Basketball Camp "Kragujevac 2023", in each of the shifts, a "Coaching Clinic" was organized, where lectures were held and experiences were exchanged with coaches from all countries participating in the Camp.
In cooperation with the Basketball Association and the Coaching Organization of Romania, a cooperation was agreed upon, within the framework of which the coaches who will participate in our Camp will more easily obtain a License to work with younger categories in the home association.
For all student clubs of the Camp, there was the possibility of playing training matches with local clubs, which many took advantage of.
At the beginning of 2023, CROSS OVER International Basketball Camp was, for the second time, held in Cairo (Egypt), and from 24-31. December, we are also going to Lebanon for the first time, in order to share our experiences in working with the younger categories with the basketball fans there.
